Seller’s Inspection
Seller’s inspections, also known as a pre-listing inspection, have grown steadily in demand over recent
years. This inspection is requested and paid for by the seller of a home. It is conducted before a property is listed in order to repair or determine the condition of the home and to use it as a sales tool.
In this economy with numerous homes on the market, sellers need to set their home apart from the others and encourage buyers (and agents representing buyers) to look at their home. A pre-listing inspection communicates to potential buyers that the home is in generally good shape or better, therefore virtually eliminating any natural fears of the buyer and potential pitfalls in deal negotiations.
A pre-listing inspection is a worthy investment in an owner’s effort to sell a home. It provides the seller ample time to make any necessary repairs and will greatly reduce the usual level of stress during the closing process.
